Alice Faye (May 5, 1915-- Could 9, 1998) was an American actress and vocalist, called by The New york city Times "one of minority film superstars to bow out fame at the top of her occupation". She is often linked with the Academy Honor-- gaining conventional "You'll Never ever Know", which she introduced in the 1943 musical film Greetings, Frisco, Greetings.
In 1938, Faye was cast as the female lead in In Old Chicago. Zanuck initially resisted casting Faye, as the part was initially made for Jean Harlow. Critics praised Faye's performance and it is still widely related to as Faye's finest duty.
